Research visit to the Institute of Polish Language in Kraków

Project leader Dr Martina Kramarić paid a research visit to the Institute of Polish Language in Kraków, under the mentorship of Dr Katarzyna Jasińska-Różycka, where she became acquainted with the Institute’s projects in the Department of Old Polish Dictionary. Colleagues in the Department introduced her to the projects Database of Old Polish Inflection from the 15th Century, the compilation and annotation of text corpora from the 15th and 16th centuries, and the Electronic Concordance of 15th-Century New Testament Translations. She also visited the Institute of Polish Language in Warsaw, where she learned about the compilation and annotation of 18th-century text corpora and the creation of the Digital Dictionary of Baroque Polish. The new insights gained during this working visit will contribute to the BOHEM project. At the same time, collaboration was established with Dr Katarzyna Jasińska-Różycka and the Department of Old Polish Language Dictionary.

As part of the visit, Dr Martina Kramarić also delivered a lecture for the Department’s staff, in which she presented the activities of the Institute of Croatian Language, with particular emphasis on the Department of the History of the Croatian Language. The visit was funded through the Short-term Scientific Missions program of the COST Action Unidive.
